Erica has worked with children and families for 10 years and specializes in early childhood development (birth to seven). She implements play-based, multi-sensory, and family-centered approaches. At the heart of her work, Erica tunes into the rhythm of the child and family to create a safe and trusting relationship. Erica has provided pediatric speech therapy in outpatient clinics, daycares/schools, and home health settings and has conducted in-services for daycare and preschool teachers to support child development. She has also developed and led parent-infant, toddler, and preschool programs that focus on parent-child bonding, early language skills, the power of play, nervous system regulation, school readiness, and social-emotional development.
Erica’s philosophy is to foster a nurturing environment and relationship, and to value connection, simplicity, and play in early childhood. Erica includes elements from Waldorf Early Childhood Education (WECAN), Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE), DIR/Floortime, and the Polyvagal Theory to uphold a holistic perspective in child development through respectful and compassionate support for children and their families.
