Infant Massage

Touch is a child’s first language. The sense of touch begins early in the womb, and by birth, it is the baby’s most developed sense in the body. Loving touch is the catalyst for healthy development throughout the early years of life. It is the main channel helping the baby learn about their environment, sending messages to other parts of the brain and body. It’s the window into shaping their human experience and communication as it “awakens the natural intelligence of the body.”

Infant massage creates a loving connection, sense of safety, and peaceful rhythm for both the parent and baby. It gives space for tuning into your baby’s cues, fostering a deep bond and beautiful communication between the parent and baby. Infant massage is about moving slowly, observing your baby with loving eyes, and trusting that the energy you’re putting in is what they receive.

In this 5-session program, designed for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months, parents learn simple strokes to support their baby and the deeper meaning behind the parent-infant connection. Each class focuses on a different area of the body with specific routines for easing gas, colic, and reflux. This program is completely baby-led as the class emphasizes recognizing and responding to your baby’s cues and readiness for massage. If baby is sleeping or feeding, parents can continue practicing the strokes on a doll and/or observe the practitioner. It is a slow-paced class that is designed to help you tune-in with your little one in a mindful and meditative way. This program is offered in-person and virtually. Each session will include helpful handouts and time for questions.
